Melbourne-based alternative hip hop artist Earnest Jackson gets cheeky on fresh new single ‘Sweaty’ which we are excited to premiere at SYS ahead of it’s release on the 6th March.

The fun feel good single shows Earnest in a playful manner, whilst still delivering the goods. The unofficial anthem of the summer of 2020 from Earnest Jackson, ‘Sweaty’ will infect you with an urge to smile, shake yo thang, and most importantly - sweat. With a playful energy rivalling that of OutKast and Duckwrth, Earnest’s cheeky lyrics makes it clear he wants every, any and many bodies to shake, slap, and move their booties without inhibitions.

Jackson Hurwood is the brainchild behind Earnest Jackson, with Soren Maryasin on drums and production, and Lochie Thompson behind some sensationally superfluous saxophone solos. The minimal production on ‘Sweaty’ allows the drums to bang and the verses to pop, combining alternative hip hop, a four-on-the-floor house beat and a creatively unique yet familiar sound palette.

Advocating for judgement-free self love, confidence, feeling sexy no matter what, applying appropriate amounts of sunscreen when outside, and of course - dancing until you drip (with sweat), ‘Sweaty’ begs to be played over and over again, and of course, shared with everybody you know.

Catch Jackson Hurwood perform at The Workers Club Saturday March 14th 2020.
