Stream the magical debut album 'Freudian' by Daniel Caesar
Canadian Daniel Caesar jumped on our radars when he made noise in his hometown of Toronto back in 2014 with his debut EP release, Praise Break and in 2015 with his second EP, Pilgrim's Paradise.
Not so long ago, Caesar stopped listeners in their tracks when he shared the captivating single, "Get You" featuring sultry vocals by Colombian-American Kali Uchis. "Get You" spread like wild fire, where Caesar's addictive vocals gained worldwide recognition. Secondly, he shared "We Find Love".
Fast forward to the present, 22-year-old Caesar finally introduces us to his debut release, Freudian. The drop came along with a third single, "Take Me Away" featuring The Internet's Syd.
The 10-track ode to love project softly bridges the gap between gospel and R&B, you'll notice if you pay close attention to the production and the layering of the vocals. Freudian differs from his previous work as he usually works solo, however, for his debut he collaborated with aforementioned Syd and Kali Uchis, also with H.E.R. and Charlotte Day Wilson. It's a promising project. Expect to see this one on numerous lists of top albums of 2017.
