Australia's Afro-Latin powerhouse ensemble Veneno announces show at Sydney’s Venue 505
Australia's Afro-Latin powerhouse ensemble Veneno returns to Venue 505 for one night on the 22nd of October 2016.
Following the success their last sold-out show at the popular Jazz venue, Veneno are back playing a stripped back acoustic set of latin classics and original music.
Dubbed as the Spanish version of the ‘Black Eyed Peas,’ Veneno is an Afro/Latin and Hip hop fusion band with a sound and musicianship like no other.
The band consists of C Major, Steve Marin, Cesar Marin and Ricky Cancino. Together they form a life-long brotherhood of Australian/Latino musicians that push the boundaries with their incredibly tight sound and world class performance.
Veneno are 15-years strong and continue to remain at the forefront of the Latino music industry in Australia through TV performances, national tours and original album releases.
Opening up the night will be the virtuosic talents of the Martinez family, presenting their acclaimed Martinez Akustika show.
Veneno’s journey has led them to collaborate and perform with many international bands/artists including: Ozomatli (LA), Aloe Blacc (US), Los Lobos (US), Los De Abajo (MEX), Cubanismo (CUBA), Reve Y Su Charangon (CUBA), Fulanito (DOM) and vocalists: Osvaldo Chacon (CUBA) Mystro (UK) Merenia Gillies (NZ) and Maya Jupiter (AUS).
