Premiere: Wellie Holds It Down On New Single 'Can You Live Without Me'

Hailing from Adelaide but now Melbourne-based, emerging rapper Wellie drops new infectious single ‘Can You Live Without Me’ which we are excited to premiere today.

Giving us serious Travis Scott vibes, Wellie’s single ‘Can You Live Without Me’ doubles down on the elements with a thick, smooth bass laced into the ambient atmosphere, heavily manipulated vocals and a melodramatic narrative to guide the track. Produced in part by fellow Blond Paper Collaborator Black Canvas.

Wellie combines narrative-driven lyrics with auto-tune heavy vocals and various elements of electronic and RnB in what he brands as Hip Hop Noir. His fusion is what sets him above the rest of the crowd.

Currently based in Melbourne, Wellie grew up in Adelaide, and during his formative years he was involved in a myriad of different creative fields; this exposure led him to creative pursuits. If this single is anything to go by, we’re excited to see what he has to bring for the rest of the year.
