Sampa The Great Features On UK Hip Hop Trio Jungle Brown's Album 'Full Circle'
Jungle Brown’s second full-length LP entitled ‘Full Circle’ album features collaborations with Sampa The Great, Fliptrix (High Focus) and Terri Walker amongst other talents.
The hip hop trio Jungle Brown dropped the album’s highlight tracks, ‘We On’ which features the brilliant Sampa The Great. Utilising a familiar sample from Kool & The Gang’s classic ‘Summer Madness’, ‘We On’ encapsulates a late summer vibe, as the pairing deliver a sun drenched, contemporary boom bap classic.
‘We On’ follows the party jam single ‘Ikoja Ft. Elde’ which Mistajam described as “You definitely need to make sure this is on your playlist - ridiculously sick, I love it” making it his #JamHot track in August. Alongside previous single, the much loved ‘Keep It Movin’, which Loyle Carner described as “Keep It Moving is my jam” on Twitter, Jungle Brown have courted supported from BBC 6’s Music Lauren Laverne, BBC 1Xtra’s Mistajam, BBC Radio 1’s Benji B, Kiss Fresh’s Shortee Blitz, Complex UK, Dummy, Clash and numerous Spotify playlists.
Jungle Brown – Ric Flo, MAEAR and Tony Bones have spent the last two years redefining soulful hip-hop; the sound is bigger, more thought-provoking, and has matured with a rich soulful underpinning. On the road Jungle Brown have shared the stage with the likes of De La Soul, Ghostface Killah, Lowkey, Akala and Donaeo, and have played major festivals including Glastonbury, Boomtown and Lovebox as well as a huge number of clubs shows across the UK. Their debut album ‘Flight 314’ boasts more than a million streams and spent much of 2016 in Apple Music’s ‘Best of 2016’ category, featuring on various Spotify playlists and visuals on SB.TV. They were also requested to curate an exclusive playlist for Tidal and attracted attention from New York with Beats 1’s very own, Ebro.
