BRYN Releases iLL BLU Remix Of ‘Queenpin’
BRYN drops iLL BLU remix of her single 'QUEENPIN'. The London production duo renowned for remixes for the likes of ADP, Ray Blk and The Weeknd have brought their trademark sound to the track.
Championed by the likes of Stefflon Don, Stormzy and Maya Jama, 18-year-old singer, songwriter and rapper BRYN is a triple threat upcoming artist to watch. Able to go hard in on 16 bars before switching to powerful, R&B inflected vocals, file her under ‘Anne-Marie meets Ms Banks’.
‘Queenpin’ follows BRYN’s debut release ‘Pull Up’ ft. Yung Fume, which was described by critics as the “feminization of the Fetty Wap sound”. Continuing with this signature sound,"’Queenpin’ was mostly inspired by my reaction to ‘haters’.”, says BRYN. “The first line, ‘If you run your mouth you'll get a mute down’ describes how I deal with negativity: I simply shut it down and block it out. I'm the Queenpin of my own world and no one negative can reach high enough to dethrone me with their attitude."
In 2017, Croydon born and bred BRYN started uploading her fiery vocal mashups on her @brynbp instagram page, which quickly grew from 4000 to 93,000 followers in under a year while her performances, (including live footage of her jumping up on stage with the likes of Big Tobz, Cadet, Central cee and Fredo), have accumulated over 10 million views.
