Julia Zahra was born in 1995 in Indianapolis, US as Julia van der Toorn, and was raised in The Netherlands.
In 2013 she auditioned in the fourth season of The Voice of Holland with an accoustic guitar version of Britney Spears’ ‘Oops I Did It Again’ (over 6 million streams on Spotify).

From that first moment on she was one of the favourites and gained popularity, and won the competition at only 18 years old - the youngest winner thus far. After that she released her debut album.
