4ESydney Announces Official Program For 2020 Festival
4ESydney is excited to announce the official program of the festival for 2020, commencing Saturday the 21st of March till Saturday the 4th of April across Sydney.
Spanning 15 days of robust activities from conferences, programming collaborations, live music, and workshops, this year sees our largest and most ambitious program yet! 4ESydney is the only festival and project of its kind specialising in HipHop culture and multi-platform interdisciplinary practice.
In our sixth year running, 4ESydney continues to gradually build a global infrastructure and platform for HipHop nationally through professional development and industry sustainability. We are proud facilitators acting as a meeting ground where community, industry, and education merge to create unique opportunities with national and international industry professionals and artists for the growth and preservation of HipHop culture.
4ESydney was nominated for the 2020 Zest Awards for Outstanding Community Partnership, a nominee for the 2016 National Live Music Awards and winner of the 2018 Zest Award for best Community Business Partnership.
This year’s 4ESydney program boasts a full and lively program with a range of partners including our key program collaboration with the prestigious 22nd Biennale of Sydney, Art Gallery of NSW, Story Factory in Parramatta, Bankstown Poetry Slam and more for 2020! The program will feature key artists and industry professionals DOBBY, Naomi Keyte (ADL), Luka Lesson, Nardean, L-FRESH The LION, Dom Alessio (Sounds Australia), Bruce Shillingsworth, Rhianna Patrick (ABC/QMusic), Kelsey Iris, MzRizk (Melb/HOB), Omar Musa, K-Sera (The Edge 96.1), Ms. Hennessey (author/Koori FM) and many more! The Biennale is a unique collaboration to co-present an array of events on Cockatoo Island and across Sydney around the theme, NIRIN, meaning edge. NIRIN is a word of Biennale’s Artistic Director Brook Andrew’s mother’s Nation, the Wiradjuri people of western New South Wales.
In addition to our illustrious partnership programming and live music artists, we continue to focus on our 2nd annual conference led by industry professionals, artists, academics, community, and HipHop pioneers under the 4ESydney Festival banner taking place Wednesday 1st of April - Saturday 4th of April. Structured to be interactive with a combination of discussions, roundtables, workshops, networking events and more, we take an in-depth look into HipHop culture through honest uncensored dialogue. We put the Hip Hop scene and creative industries under the microscope dissecting and analysing new ways to make our industry and culture an all-inclusive safe space, for a healthier and more sustainable industry.
